OTTAWA – The Green Party of Canada extends its heartfelt thanks to co-leader Jonathan Pedneault for his leadership, dedication, and service to the party and to Canadian democracy. While his departure is deeply felt, Greens support his decision and wish him the best of luck in his humanitarian work.
“I’m deeply saddened to see Jonathan leave,” said co-leader Elizabeth May. “His departure is a profound loss for the Green Party and for Canadian politics. While I am sorry to see him go, I deeply admire his continued commitment to human rights and conflict resolution. He remains a powerful force for good in the world, and we wish him nothing but success.”
Jonathan Pedneault leaves behind a legacy of bold ideas, principled leadership, and a clear focus on justice. He inspired a new generation of Greens and helped lead the party through one of its most dynamic election campaigns.
