My story with the Green Party starts two years ago when I signed up to be a volunteer. One of the first things I did was lead a webinar on how to live zero waste as part of the 'Living the Values' webinar series. In July, I joined other GPC members to march in the annual Halifax Pride parade.

In the Fall of 2018, I started grad school at Memorial University's Grenfell Campus studying Environmental Policy and created and led a Young Greens club called "Grenfell Greens". I was also lucky to be able to attend the 2018 Convention in Vancouver. I returned to BC in April 2019 when I went to Vancouver Island to volunteer with Paul Manly's campaign and then work as the Volunteer Coordinator for David Merner in Esquimalt-Saanich-Sooke. Seeing Paul win and knowing I was a part of it was incredibly rewarding and it was amazing to spend the rest of the summer working hard to try and get David elected.

Being involved in the Green Party has introduced me to so many amazing people across the country and now I want the chance to use my voice as a young person to work to influence and advise the party on the direction we need to be taking for the future of the party, the country and the planet. I love organizing and coordinating projects and am excited for this opportunity to represent the youth voice of Nova Scotia for the Young Greens of this province.
