The Green Party of Canada is thanking the candidates, volunteers, and campaign teams who represented the party in the recent federal by-elections in University—Rosedale, Scarborough Southwest, and Terrebonne.

Green Party Leader Elizabeth May expressed her gratitude to Andrew Massey (University—Rosedale), Pooja Malhotra (Scarborough Southwest), and Benjamin Rankin (Terrebonne) for stepping forward to represent their communities and Green values.

“Running for office is an act of courage,” said May. “Andrew Massey, Pooja Malhotra, and Benjamin Rankin each put their names on the ballot because they believe their communities deserve better. They spent weeks knocking on doors, listening to voters, and speaking up for Green values. Alongside every volunteer and supporter who gave their time and energy to these campaigns, their hard work, hope, and determination are what keep our movement growing.”

Thanks to the hard work of candidates, volunteers, and supporters, the Green Party surpassed 2% of the vote in both GTA ridings, an encouraging sign of growing support and a strong foundation to build on.

The Green Party of Canada extends its sincere thanks to everyone who helped make these campaigns possible, and to the growing number of Canadians who are working to build a fairer, greener future.
