Hello! My name is Sydney Boulton, and I want to be your Saskatchewan representative on the Young Greens of Canada Council!

I grew up here in Saskatchewan, and I am excited to support Saskatchewan youth by joining the national debate and ensuring our voice is represented in Green Party policies and platforms.

I am studying Environment & Society at the University of Saskatchewan. A big component of this program is learning about environmental policy and politics at a provincial and national level. I am also minoring in political studies, which has equipped me to support the YGC as they help shape legislation in Canada’s Parliament.

I have previously been involved in student politics, with the the University of Saskatchewan Students’ Union (USSU), and with civic governance boards, where I was the youth representative on the Saskatoon Environmental Advisory Committee (SEAC). These experiences taught me the importance of public involvement in policy and politics, which is why I am seeking a position on the YGC council.

If elected, my first priority would be reaching out to other young Green Party members in Saskatchewan to find out what issues you care about the most!

I believe that with my experience, combined with my passion for smart national policy and public political engagement, I will make a great representative on the Young Greens of Canada Council!
