Ce projet de loi historique, parrain\u00e9 par la chef du Parti vert Elizabeth May, contribuera \u00e0 mettre fin au racisme environnemental et \u00e0 promouvoir la justice climatique au Canada. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Qu&rsquo;est-ce que le racisme environnemental ?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Au Canada, les projets industriels polluants sont plus susceptibles de se situer \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 des communaut\u00e9s marginalis\u00e9es. Dans ces situations, nous sommes en pr\u00e9sence de racisme environnemental. Le racisme environnemental affecte d\u2019une mani\u00e8re plus importante les communaut\u00e9s autochtones, noires et autres groupes racialis\u00e9es. Il entra\u00eene une exposition in\u00e9gale \u00e0 la pollution et aux risques environnementaux. Cela aggrave les probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 dans les communaut\u00e9s touch\u00e9es et creuse les in\u00e9galit\u00e9s sociales.    <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pourquoi le projet de loi C-226 est-il important ?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Le projet de loi C-226 vise \u00e0 lutter contre le racisme environnemental. Il vise \u00e0 garantir que les communaut\u00e9s marginalis\u00e9es disposent des outils et de l&rsquo;aide dont elles ont besoin pour prot\u00e9ger leur sant\u00e9 et leur bien-\u00eatre. En soutenant le projet de loi C-226, nous pouvons contribuer \u00e0 ce que l\u2019ensemble de la population canadienne ait un acc\u00e8s \u00e9gal \u00e0 un environnement propre et sain.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">La force du travail collectif<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Le projet de loi C-226 trouve son origine dans les luttes de la communaut\u00e9 afro-n\u00e9o-\u00e9cossaise de Shelburne et dans le travail du Dr Ingrid Waldron. Le projet de loi a d&rsquo;abord \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 par l&rsquo;ancienne d\u00e9put\u00e9e Lenore Zann. <a href=\"https:\/\/elizabethmaymp.ca\/good-sunday-morning-march-10\/\">Sa reprise et son parrainage par Elizabeth May<\/a> (en anglais seulement) illustrent le pouvoir du travail collectif. Le projet de loi est actuellement en phase finale au S\u00e9nat gr\u00e2ce au soutien de la s\u00e9natrice Mary Jane McCallum.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mani\u00e8re dont vous pouvez contribuer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Montrez votre soutien au projet de loi C-226.
