Bylaw 1 Amendment - Revoking Memberships

BE IT RESOLVED that the current bylaw 1.3 be replaced with the following:

1.3 Membership in the Party may be revoked ‘for cause’ by a 2/3 vote on a resolution of Federal Council or a general meeting. The person who is subject to this action shall be provided with written reasons for the revocation, and shall be given the opportunity (with reasonable notice) to reply in writing, and to appear before Council, or the membership (as the case may be), to ask questions, to discuss the reasons and to defend their position. The decision of Council, or the membership in general meeting, is final.
