(OTTAWA) October 2, 2016 – The Green Party of Canada released the following statement to mark the beginning of Rosh Hashanah:
“At sundown tonight, Jewish Canadians mark the start of Rosh Hashanah, the first of the Jewish High Holy Days and the beginning of the Jewish New Year. The next two days are a time for many to gather with family, break bread and look to the year ahead," said Elizabeth May, Leader of the Green Party of Canada (MP, Saanich-Gulf Islands).
