Richmond—Arthabaska

An environmental professional since 2016, after obtaining her Bachelor's degree in this field, Laura Horth-Lepage has developed her expertise in waste management. Her first work experience took place at Pratt and Whitney Canada, where she contributed to the company's Zero Waste 2028 project. Shortly after, she moved to Victoriaville to take up her position at Excellence Composites Inc. as Project Manager for Environment and Quality.

Having identified an opportunity to recover some residual materials generated by the plant, Laura and her employer set up a research project in partnership with the Université de Sherbrooke. It was Laura who, after a master's degree at the Faculty of Engineering, led the latter to term. She has been back at Excellence Composites since the fall of 2018.

A great fan of sports and the outdoors, Laura is an avid rugby player and fan. For a year during her master's degree, she even assumed the responsibility of Manager of the Vert & Or women's rugby team at the Université de Sherbrooke. Since returning to Center-du-Québec, she has created a young women's team at the Vicas de la Polyvalente du Boisé and began to invest in the training of the Vulkins men's college team.
