In December, the Senate approved the End the Captivity of Whales and Dolphins Act. In February, the House voted to send it to committee, where Canada could take a major step to end this particular brand of animal cruelty.
Now, we need to push the Free Willy Bill downstream and make sure it passes without amendments. If the other parties add lengthy, bureaucratic changes, this important bill could die on the order paper.
