Letter to Liberal EDA CEOs

Dear [Name],

As the CEO of the Local Liberal Party Association I know how hard you work in our community to keep the public engaged in parliamentary matters.

In the previous campaign, your party and Justin Trudeau promised to make 2015 the last election held under the First Past the Post voting system. I am writing to ask you to please confirm your party is still dedicated to this promise. I worry that come 2019, when a Liberal volunteer knocks on my door, I will be asking them why your party broke such an important promise.

Updating our voting system is a crucial step in the evolution of our Canadian democracy. We now have a once-in-a-generation opportunity for change; I trust you will share my concerns with your party. This promise to act cannot be delayed. I have written directly to our MP as well, but I hope you will fight for this change with me.

Thank you for taking time to read my letter and for all the hard work that you do in helping build a better Canada. I look forward to your reply and engaging with you further on this issue.

Regards,

[Your Name]
