Are you a political junkie that’s always ready with a quick turn of phrase? Well, we’ve got the job for you!

The brief:

  • As Copywriter, you will help lead content creation across the party.

  • Working with the Digital Director and Director of Fundraising, you set creative briefs and deliver compelling copy that appeals to our donor base and Canadian voters from coast to coast to coast.

  • You will attend strategy meetings to help discuss direction and game-plans.

You are:

  • Someone who is passionate about progressive politics and the environmental movement in Canada.

  • A creative writer with a keen eye for detail, who is irked by grammatical mistakes and spelling errors.

  • A voracious reader that is always looking to learn from the writing of others.

It’d be a bonus if:

  • You have graphic design experience, and are comfortable using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (or you are willing to learn).

  • You have video editing experience

  • You have experience using social media in a corporate or non-profit environment.

  • You have worked or volunteered on political campaigns in the past at the municipal, provincial or federal level.

  • You can communicate in French

  • You get mad at your friends when they don’t recycle.

The work:

  • Direct mail

  • Web content

  • Brochures

  • Fundraising emails

  • Petitions and open letters

  • Social media and web content

  • Print and digital advertising

  • Background research

  • This is a permanent, full-time position located at the Green Party’s headquarters in Ottawa, Ontario.
