Proportional Representation on Federal Council

BE IT RESOLVED that Article 9 of the constitution is amended to include this information:

9.1 Federal Council is elected using proportional representation and that it shall be composed of:

• four members elected from a province with more than 100 electoral district associations;
• three members elected from a province with 51-100 electoral district associations;
• two members elected from a province with 26-50 electoral district associations;
• one member elected from a province with 4-25 electoral district associations;
• one member from each territory;
• the Leader;
• one deputy leader, in a non-voting capacity;
• the Executive Director or his or her designate, in a non-voting capacity;
• the National Campaign Chair, in a non-voting capacity;
• the National Campaign Manager, in a non-voting capacity;
• the financial agent, in a non-voting capacity;
• the Director of Operations, in a non-voting capacity; and
• the chair of the Green Party of Canada Fund, in a non-voting capacity.
