Green Party hosts first public event with Leader and MPs since federal election

OTTAWA – Green Party interim Leader Amita Kuttner will join MPs Elizabeth May (Saanich-Gulf Islands) and Mike Morrice (Kitchener Centre) March 24 for the party’s first public event since last year’s federal election. The reception, panel discussion and fundraiser will take place at Bayview Yards in Ottawa.

After a difficult federal election, the Green leaders are looking forward to having candid conversations with members about policy and the future of the party. Many members are excited to see the Green Party re-energized and ready to continue its fight for real action on the climate crisis and a just transition to the green economy of the future.

Dr. Kuttner, Ms. May and Mr. Morrice will be available for a pre-event press conference at 6 p.m. at the Bayview Yards Innovation Centre, 7 Bayview Station Road, Ottawa. This will be followed by a reception, a panel discussion at 7 p.m. and a Dutch auction fundraiser at 8:15 p.m.. The panel discussion will focus on international security and Ukraine; climate change and a green economy; and the future of the Green Party as it rebuilds and refocuses.
