(OTTAWA) - Elizabeth May, Leader of the Green Party of Canada and Member of Parliament for Saanich – Gulf Islands, issued the following statement today regarding the devastation caused by Cyclone Pam:
“On behalf of the Green Party of Canada and myself, I offer my deepest condolences to the people of Vanuatu.
“I urge Ministers Kenney and Nicholson to deploy the Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART). We need to act immediately and provide humanitarian aid and assistance to the people of Vanuatu.”
