Advisory: Elizabeth May participates in Amnesty International event to halt Site C Dam

(OTTAWA) - Elizabeth May, Leader of the Green Party of Canada (MP, Saanich-Gulf Islands), joins Amnesty International Canada, Sierra Club BC, citizen groups, human rights organizations and environmental groups to present petitions and postcards from over 120,000 Canadians calling on the federal government to immediately halt construction of the Site C Dam in northeastern British Columbia.

Vancouver-area MPs have been invited to receive symbolic packages of postcards and petitions and take the message of concern back to Ottawa.  

Ms. May will provide brief remarks and be available for media questions.
