(VANCOUVER) - Green Party Leader Elizabeth May (Saanich – Gulf Islands), holds a press conference this morning in Vancouver, B.C.
Ms. May will discuss the Green Party’s plan to protect Canada’s coasts from risky pipelines and tanker schemes. Dr. Quarmby will speak on the proposed Kinder Morgan pipeline and Mr. Melamed will discuss the transition to a Green economy.
Elizabeth May will be joined by the following candidates at the press conference:
- Dr. Lynne Quarmby, renowned scientist and Simon Fraser University Professor (Burnaby North - Seymour); and
- Ken Melamed, former Mayor of Whistler (West Vancouver- Sunshine Coast- Sea to Sky Country).
Adriane Carr, City of Vancouver councillor and co-founder of the B.C. Green Party, will attend.
Following the announcement, Elizabeth May will take questions.
