Dave lives in Ottawa–Centre with his wife—Katie, their three-year-old son—Ben, and their baby daughter—Ellie. He has been active in Canada’s Green movement since volunteering on Elizabeth May’s by-election campaign in 2006. Since then, he’s worked on campaigns for Mike Schreiner, Lynne Lund, Dave Nickarz, Peter Bevan-Baker, Hannah Bell, and many others.

Members have elected Dave to multiple Party roles. He was a Young Greens Councillor, the Ontario Representative on Federal Council, the Party’s President and the Campaign Committee Chair. Provincially, Dave ran twice in Ottawa–Vanier. He has years of experience on riding association boards and is the Fundraising Chair for the provincial association in Ottawa Centre.

When not working on Green campaigns, Dave works for the City of Ottawa, managing the team responsible for the City’s website, citizen portal and mobile application. Previously, he ran his own software business working with governments and non-profits. Dave has the management, finance and governance skills, and the experience necessary to serve as the Fund Representative.

Dave believes this is a defining year for our Party. Through optimism and collaboration, we can use this opportunity to reach new levels of success. He will work to engage EDAs as partners, ensure that Federal Council follows its governance mandate and empower Party staff to support our grassroots growth. Dave also wants to strengthen Council transparency by encouraging members to engage with their councillors and to observe council meetings.
