With a firm belief in Canadians and their capacity to mobilize for positive change, Darcie has dedicated her life to critical social and economic issues.

Serving as the PEI Representative on Federal Council since 2016, Chairing the Finance and Convention Committees, Lanthier is proud of the work she has done. She looks forward to serving as the Vice President - English.

Lanthier just completed a successful Federal Campaign finishing second with 23.4%. Darcie ran Provincially in 2015 and garnered 18.8% of the vote.

Lanthier is the President of Solar Island Electric Inc, a Community Economic Development Business created to fund community solar development. She’s a trained energy systems technologist.

As an entrepreneur, Darcie understands, first-hand, the lived experiences of small business owners. A favourite project was the redevelopment of an 1845 heritage building that was named Downtown Charlottetown Inc.’s Business Improvement of the Year-2005.

Lanthier’s commitment - to grass roots democracy, green values, and the Green Party - was acknowledged when she received The Green Party of PEI - 2019 Legacy Award. Lanthier served the Green Party of PEI as an organizer, recruiter, treasurer, campaign manager, interim leader, deputy leader, and twice as a candidate.

Lanthier has also been lauded by the Green Party of Canada for her community engagement. She received the Green Party of Canada’s 2014 Community Involvement Award for her volunteer work.

Darcie can often be found cycling with Peter, her husband of thirty-two years. Together they have three adult sons, Ian, Phillip, and David.
