Shadow Cabinet - Environment


Dr. Michelle Bowman (she/her) is a scientist with broad knowledge of the effects of human activities on environmental health and biodiversity. Her expertise was acquired through strong mentorship, real-world environmental protection and teaching at the University of Guelph, University of Western Ontario, and University of Alberta. The planetary boundaries associated with the human use of lakes and rivers and global nutrient cycles of phosphorus and nitrogen have been a focus of her research. Michelle holds a PhD in Biological Sciences and is a strong advocate for a global society that lives equitably, sustainably, and within our means.
