Note regarding resolutions of July 21st and 26th, 2020

A confidential email from the three Green Members of Parliament dated August 5, 2020 to Council was leaked, and has been published online.

The MPs’ letter referred to an Executive Council resolution of July 21st to look into certain allegations concerning a probationary ED, and a Federal Council resolution on July 26th to extend the period of probation to give Council time to exercise its obligation for due diligence and work towards consensus.

A contradictory motion was passed at an August 4th meeting of a reduced number of councillors. That meeting was determined at the next properly constituted meeting of Council to be out of order, and the minutes and motions passed at that meeting were not approved.
