Job Type: Permanent full-time position. The successful applicant will be expected to work 37.5 hours per week. Some evening/weekend work may be required. 

The GPC is a federal political party with three great MPs and lots of supporters. In 2020 we elected a new leader.

We are carving out a niche in Canadian politics with a unique message and lots of hard work.

Strong attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills are a must, as well as a demeanor that is both professional and personable.

Excellent organizational and administrative skills required. Bilingual (French/English) preferred.

Job Summary:
Working under the direction of a supervising Director, this position is responsible for ensuring the progress of projects and general operations of the Mobilizing department. Using the suite of project/task tracking tools (Asana, Help Scout, CiviCRM) and direct contact with the mobilizing team, this position provides operational oversight for tasks and timelines in the mobilizing team. 

Mobilizing Department Summary:
GPC Mobilizers are a specialized team who, throughout the entire election cycle, create leadership and expertise in others with the goal of electing Green Party MPs. Mobilizers are directly responsible for identifying and implementing opportunities to advance and support efforts to build election readiness and capacity across the country, including at the Party, Electoral District Association (EDA), campaign and individual volunteer level. Mobilizers work in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment. The Mobilizing Team is a flexible unit that develops and rolls out appropriate strategies as needed throughout the various stages of the election cycle.  The team is responsible for:

  • EDA support and leadership
  • Campaign support and leadership
  • Education and Training 
  • Party Growth and Building the Green Team 
  • Volunteer Support 

Manager Responsibilities:

  • Using project management software, populates, tracks and follows up on progress of tasks assigned to Mobilizing team members
  • Keeps Director apprised of progress of overall projects and advises Director as needed
  • Oversees organizers in ensuring proper and timely processing of candidates and completion of annual reports
  • Regularly reviews progress of Electoral District Associations (Elections Canada reporting, election readiness, etc…) advising and follows up on next steps for priority ridings with organizers
  • Leads the development and implementation of procedures, tools, processes regarding administration of candidates, volunteers, EDAs.
  • Oversees progress of regular content development and dissemination of outreach and engagement materials to EDA executives and volunteers
  • Ensures development, scheduling and staffing of volunteer webinars and other training opportunities 
  • Oversees operations and human resources, notifies the Director as needed of situations requiring intervention.
  • Other duties as requested.


  • Previous experience in a political organizing, customer service or an administrative role
  • Ability to read, write and speak fluently in English and French
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment with constantly evolving strategies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent computer skills.


  • Relevant post secondary degree or equivalent training, education and experience
  • Knowledge of project management and CRM software
  • Experience working on political campaigns or mobilizing
  • Familiarity with the Green Party of Canada’s values and platform
