Vancouver Rally: Standing Up for Science and Standing Up for Our Coast – Because We Live Here!
Elizabeth May joins Green Party candidates Ken Melamed, Dr. Lynne Quarmby, Claire Martin, Lisa Barrett and Wes Regan and supporters on Saturday for a rally at Thornton Park in Vancouver.
They will also be joined by former Environment Canada scientist and Harperman singer Tony Turner.
Ms. May speaks at 12:30 pm (PDT) and takes questions from the media following her speech.
The rally features speeches from the other candidates and performances by: David Vertesi (Hey Ocean); Buckman Coe + KALA; Tony Turner performing 'Harperman' with Deanna Knight (Hot Club of Mars); Johnny MacRae (slam poet); and MCed by Nyla Carpentier.

Elizabeth May and Claire Martin in North Vancouver on Saturday Afternoon
On Saturday afternoon, Ms. May and Claire Martin, Green Party candidate (North Vancouver), hold a photo op at the south end of the walkway to the SeaBus at Waterfront Station.
Ms. May and Ms. Martin then travel by SeaBus to North Vancouver’s Lonsdale Quay with Green Party supporters.
They will be greeted by more supporters at Lonsdale and will speak with pedestrians and shop owners as they walk to the Lonsdale Quay Bean Around The World
Ms. May and Ms. Martin host a public Coffee Talk with Bean Around The World owners Andrew and Jeff Klaver, discussing small business, jobs and the economy.
