Knox is pleased to welcome Elizabeth May, the leader of the Green Party, who will speak on Faith and Politics at our Annual Spring Dinner. Ms. May has a long record as a committed and dedicated advocate for social justice, the environment and human rights. While she is known for her environmental activism, she is perhaps not as well known as an activist in declaring her faith. Ms. May believes wearing her faith on her sleeve is a matter of honesty and transparency. “Being a Christian in politics is part of who I am as a person, so I don’t hide it.”
The dinner will be held in Iona Hall with a reception at 6:00 pm followed by a three course roast beef dinner at 6:30 pm. Vegetarian and gluten free options are available if the Church Office is notified before April 22. Please let your friends know of this engaging evening and get your tickets early.
