Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 and the recommendations from the Public Health Authority, the Humane Canada’s National Animal Welfare Conference (NAWC) has been cancelled.
The NAWC is an annual professional development and community-building event for anyone who works with, cares for or advocates for animals. It is Canada’s biggest and best-attended animal welfare conference. Ms. May will be receiving an award based on her work on Bill S-203, Ending the Captivity of Whales and Dolphins Act that passed into law in 2019.
