Federal Council - Quebec

I am honoured to announce my candidacy again for the position of Quebec representative on the Federal Council. I have been a member of the federal Green Party since 2015. I had the privilege of campaigning in the 2015 and 2019 federal general elections. At the municipal level, I ran for mayor of my native city, Verdun, in the southwestern part of Montreal. After these three elections, I learned that a candidate's job is first and foremost to convince electors and also to put forward the ideas and values of the Green Party on the ground. I am currently working as a volunteer at the greenhouses of the City of Verdun, where I have been vice-president of the board of directors for more than 2 years now. As a team, we are looking to raise funds to renovate greenhouses. This is a multi-million dollar project. As a beekeeper, I am also involved in a pollination project in the greenhouses. Protection of the environment and better legislation on pesticides is of paramount importance for bees and agricultural land in Canada. But what concerns me right now is the pandemic that has spread in Canada and the crisis it is currently causing. That is why, for all members, I am going to push for one of the values of the Greens: social justice and a guaranteed minimum wage for all people in need. I promise to bring this issue to the attention of our elected Greens. In conclusion, as a visible minority woman, the Federal Council must reflect the population, so it is up to you!
