Elizabeth May, Leader of the Green Party of Canada and candidate (Saanich-Gulf Islands), is in Halifax and Charlottetown on Tuesday for day two of the eastern leg of her Green Party National Tour (Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick and Quebec).

Press Conference in Support of Postal Workers
Elizabeth May and Green Party of Canada Nova Scotia candidates make an announcement in support of postal workers this morning.

Candidates in attendance: Thomas Trappenburg (Halifax), Brynn Nheiley (Dartmouth – Cole Harbour), Adrianna MacKinnon (Sydney – Victoria), Clark Walton (West Nova), David Hachey (Central Nova), and Richard Biggar (South Shore – St. Margarets).

After the press conference, Ms. May conducts interviews in Halifax. She departs from Halifax Stanfield International Airport at 4:00 pm (ADT) for Charlottetown.

Media Scrum and Rally in the Garden in Charlottetown
On arrival in Charlottetown, Ms. May hosts a media scrum at the Farm Centre Legacy Garden and attends ‘Rally in the Garden’ to help local Greens support the FoodExchange by harvesting produce from the Legacy Garden for the Food Bank.

Green Party Social at the Charlottetown Legion
On Tuesday night, Ms. May joins PEI Green candidates Teresa Doyle (Cardigan), Becka Viau (Charlottetown), Lynne Lund (Malpeque), and  Peter Bevan-Baker, Member of the Legislative Assembly and Leader of the Green Party of PEI, at a Green Party social at the Charlottetown Legion.  The festivities include fresh local snacks and music with the Amanda Jackson Band.

Date: Tuesday, September 1, 2015; 8:30 pm to midnight (ADT) 
Location: Clover Club at the Charlottetown Legion, 99 Pownal St., Charlottetown, PE 

On Wednesday morning, September 2, Ms. May travels from Charlottetown to Fredericton, NB.
