The Green Party of Canada is hiring a data analyst to assist in the segmenting and targeting of our support lists for more effective communication. The data analyst will primarily be responsible for using data to inform communications and fundraising strategy: segmentation, A/B split testing, metric monitoring, list generation. 

Job Description

Requirements
 As a data analyst you have a strong understanding of data modelling, database schemas and you are proficient in SQL. You have a basic to moderate understanding of statistics and you are comfortable with data visualization. Knowledge of R is an asset. Knowledge of GIS is an asset. Knowledge of a scripting language (ideally Python) is an asset. Knowledge of the CiviCRM and/or Drupal architecture is a major asset.
 Responsibilities
 Reporting to the Digital Director you will be responsible for understanding and improving how the GPC currently segments its supporter lists. You will be responsible for writing complex queries in SQL to generate targeted lists of supporters and prospects. Core responsibilities include:

  • Creating new and improving existing GPC supporter segments
  • Generating custom lists
  • Generating custom reports
  • Developing and monitoring of key metrics to measure communication success
  • Developing and monitoring A/B split tests to optimize communications performance

Additional responsibilities include (implied skills are an asset):

  • Geospatial analysis and GIS map creation
  • Participation in google analytics, google display network advertising, facebook advertising
  • Participating in developing for CiviCRM
