You’re a campaigner, an organizer, a leader. You’re on a mission. So are we, and we want your help making Canada a better place by electing Green MPs.

The Green Party is currently hiring a leader for our mobilizing team. By joining our management team, you will lead a small, dynamic group that guides our volunteers across the country through team-building, activism, planning events, finding candidates, and running campaigns. This exciting and busy job also oversees our Youth Engagement Strategy, supporting the Young Greens of Canada to reach out to youth across the country

We are looking for leader to jump right in managing a team, but you don’t necessarily need years of experience.

Am I a good fit?

At the GPC, we are passionate about our work. We highly value work life balance but we are also not nine-to-fivers. We are committed to our mission to inject a Green conscience into the Canadian Parliament. Self starters who are also team players will thrive with us. Ask lots of questions, be eager to learn, don’t forget the rules set by Elections Canada, and stay organized. You can’t learn this stuff in school...

What will I do?

You will be the driving force behind activating our grassroots in the less than 500 days left until the next election (yes, we are counting). How can the central team best support the volunteers on the ground and vice versa? How do we continue to build connections with communities, retain lifelong volunteers, and inspire new recruits? It's a big country, with two national languages, a diverse population, and a wide array of interests and issues; the challenge is to balance going deep with floating all boats.

Interested? Please submit a cover letter letting us know how you would excel at this job and a detailed resume to the attention of Emily McMillan at job54@greenparty.ca. This position will remain open until we find just the right fit (so apply early!).

There are only so many hours in a day, so only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted. Thanks for your interest!

Some things you should know:

  • This is a permanent, full-time position located at the Green Party’s headquarters in Ottawa, Ontario, though there may be some flexibility for the right person.
  • Proficiency in both official languages is considered an asset.
  • The salary range for this position, dependent on experience, is competitive for the non-profit sector. To ensure a mutual best fit, please tell us your minimum salary expectations.
  • The Green Party offers fantastic perks and benefits, including four weeks’ paid vacation and comprehensive health and dental coverage.
  • We offer an enviable workplace culture in an office located just steps from Parliament Hill.

The Green Party of Canada is an equal-opportunity employer offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package within a stimulating, professional work environment that advocates for a healthy work/life balance.
