To the public, whom I love so dearly –
My name is Silvia Stardust. I am a proud Canadian, and a political advocate for Human Rights, Women’s Rights and World Peace.
Here in Toronto I’ve learned the value of what it means to be a Canadian from different walks of life, and I understand some of the struggles that marginalized, lower income, disabled peoples deal with, and the dangers that come from housing insecurity, food insecurity, and a lack of work due to mental or physical disability. During these harsh economic times I really want to make life more affordable and qualitative for Canadians. I have had the fortunate opportunity to become a Candidate for The Green Party of Canada, representing the riding of Toronto-Danforth. My name will be on the ballot for the next Canadian Federal Election happening on April 28th, 2025.
As a member of the community, I aim to do justice to the voices of the people. I marched with the Anishinaabe, Ojibwe First Nations of Ontario in 2024, in defence of Grassy Narrows and their demand for justice regarding the mercury poisoning of the river and their community since 1970. I sent a correspondence to the offices of former Prime Minister, The Right and Honourable Justin Trudeau, demanding the closure of the Dryden Paper Mill which caused the environmental crime. I am always in support of those who were harmed by the system of inequality that displaced them and their livelihoods.
A lot of my efforts are also focused on international relations because I know what happens abroad impacts Canadian policy. I am involved with humanitarian groups like the UN World Food Programme, which acts as a first responder to places devastated by war and natural disasters. I have shared meals with Syria, Palestine and The Ukraine. I am supporting the people of Haiti through ‘Hope for Haiti’, after the devastating effects of COVID-19, the 2021 earthquake, and civil unrest, because I know at our hearts we all demand political stability and a lifestyle that benefits our social and economic well-being. I am a member of the Clean Ocean Club, in partnership with 4Ocean, a Balinese-based company that focuses on cleaning shorelines and waterways from plastic pollution, having also cleaned up a few beaches myself! As of 2025, 4Ocean has pulled over 40,000,000 LBS of plastic from our Oceans. I care very deeply about Climate Action, Sustainability and Gender Equality.
