He has been married for 23 years and has an 18 year old daughter. Alex worked for the Georgia straight newspaper and straight.com for nearly 25 years, is an emeritus member of the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade Ambassadors’ Club, a member of the Vancouver School Board Parent Advisory Council (8 years) and District Parent Advisory Council (11 years). He currently does volunteer work for the Mount Plesant Royal Canadian Legion.
