What's possible after Nanaimo-Ladysmith

Dear voters,

Possible.

That is the word we will bring forward from the Nanaimo-Ladysmith by-election.

Possible. When we talk about a low-carbon future. When we talk about an equal and fair Canadian society. The Green economy. Proportional representation. Good, stable jobs.

Possible.

Voters in Nanaimo-Ladysmith just showed Canada what’s politically possible.

Two days ago, Paul Manly won his seat as Canada’s next Green MP.

Thanks to the incredible efforts of the campaign team as well as volunteers and supporters across the country, Nanaimo-Ladysmith voted for a Green future.

Possible.

For years, we were told that our values and our vision for Canada were impossible. Impractical. Unrealistic. That Greens just split the vote to make way for a Conservative win.

You just showed Canada that fearmongering, cynical politicians and powerful corporations won’t distract us from what’s possible when it comes to our future.

That we can build the Canada that works for us all, solve the climate crisis and create innovative social programs.

That we can form a government based on integrity and collaboration.

You just showed Canada that anything is possible with hope and hard work. With teams of Greens getting out into their communities to talk about the issues that matter most.

Thank you for all that you’ve done to get us here,
