Regional Coordinator for British Columbia and the North

Position Type:
Volunteer Objective:
To coordinate the activities of our Young Greens voter base for the Provinces comprising the region of British Columbia and the North.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Track the progress of campus clubs within their region and, when needed, provide assistance to the executives of transitioning and new clubs
- Facilitate the formation of new campus clubs
- Ensure proper dialogue between campus clubs and the Council
- Serve as representative of their region when input is needed by all spheres of the Council
- Contribute to the responsibilities of the Organizing Sphere as outlined in Bylaws 10.5.1-10.5.4 (which can be found here: http://youth.greenparty.ca/node/574)
- Report volunteer work hours on a regular basis
- Commitment to the Six Guiding Principles of the Green Party of Canada
- Adherence to the Volunteer Confidentiality Agreement
- Must not be a member of another federal political party
Qualifications / Skills:
- Previous experience with campus clubs in the region is an asset
- Enthusiasm for the ideals and mandate of the Young Greens of Canada
Time & Location:
- Weekly commitment to general organization
- This position can be fulfilled from home
- May require some travel to campus clubs on occasion
