Webadmin Mail Monitor

Objective: 

To manage / direct the Webadmin email volume of messages during a General Federal Election Campaign.

Duties / Responsibilities: 

To “triage” or direct the trafficking of emails received by Webadmin by:

  • reading, reviewing and determining how best to respond to volume of mssgs being received (i.e. during Campaign, on busy day apporox. 300 mssgs from which approx. 30 would require immediate attention of Web/IT Team)
  • identifying messages which require immediate attention of Technical Services Team
  • identifying and forwarding relevant messages to info@gpc.ca (i.e. messagesrequesting information or mssgs of support from the general public)
  • identifying and archiving relevant mssgs for future administration (i.e. bounced emails from mass-emails sent; requests to be removed from database)
  • Report volunteer work hours on a regular basis
  • Commitment to the Six Guiding Principles of the Green Party of Canada.
  • Adherence to the Volunteer Confidentiality Agreement
  • Must not be a member of another federal political party.
Qualifications / Skills: 
  • Computer experience essential
  • Excellent knowledge of G-Mail
  • Good judgment; good communication skills; team player’ ability to work independently
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Time & Location: 

Onsite, Technical Services Offices.  Mail would need to be monitored on a regular, continuous basis.  Duties would involve approx. 25% of day.

Orientation / Training: 

General orientation to the GPC offices by Coordinator of Volunteer Resources; Supervision and orientation to Webadmin Mail procedures by designated Technical Services staff.
