Campaign Monitors: Liberal / Conservative / NDP / Bloc - Communications Team

Objective: 

To regularly monitor and report on: campaign literature and messages originating from all other major political parties for the duration of a Federal General Election Campaign.  One volunteer assigned for each of the major political parties.

Duties / Responsibilities: 

Reviewing the other major political party websites on a daily basis to monitor and determine:

  • the “message for the day” for their Campaign
  • what is being said about The Green Party
  • what is being said about other Political Parties
  • where were their campaign trails on this day and what were their main messages?
  • Compile relevant points then format information into agreed upon format to meet needs of Communications Team
  • Report volunteer work hours on a regular basis
  • Commitment to the Six Guiding Principles of the Green Party of Canada.
  • Adherence to the Volunteer Confidentiality Agreement
  • Must not be a member of another federal political party

  • Attention to detail
  • Indepth knowledge of specified media outlets
  • Ability to work in a fact-paced environment
Time & Location: 

After initial orientation / training, duties an be performed from home and/or onsite with in the Communications office.   Commitment to regular, daily reviews and analysis required.

Orientation / Training: 

Orientation to the GPC provided by Coordinator of Volunteer Resources.  Specific training for the role and supervision by designated staff member from Communications Team.
