Campaign Media Monitor – Communications Team

Position Type:

Objective: 

Review, monitor and report on relevant media references of GPC during a General Federal Election Campaign (2 – 3 volunteers)

Duties / Responsibilities: 
  • Regularly review and screen for relevant GPC media references from selected news sources as identified and determined by Communications Team
  • Provide clippings and other collections of articles as identified and determined by Communications Team
  • Conduct Google searches and compile relevant points then format information into document form as final summations to meet needs of Communications Team
  • Report volunteer work hours on a regular basis
  • Commitment to the Six Guiding Principles of the Green Party of Canada.
  • Adherence to the Volunteer Confidentiality Agreement
  • Must not be a member of another federal political party.

  • Ability to work in a fast spaced environment
Time & Location: 

Daily; ongoing throughout entire Campaign; various shifts for 2 – 3 volunteers to perform this role.  Duties to be performed at National Office until such time as orientation and training is complete then flexibility for duties to also be performed from volunteer’s home.  Commitment to regular, daily reviews and analysis required.

Orientation / Training: 

Orientation to the GPC provided by Coordinator of Volunteer Resources.  Specific training for the role and supervision by designated staff member from Communications Team.
