We Have Such a Strong Leader in Elizabeth May

On Tuesday, Feb. 5th, Elizabeth May met with the editorial board for the KW Record. She was questioned and challenged for well over an hour by six members of the board. Two of them had an open, highlighted copy of Vision Green on the table. I was at that meeting and I can't say it loud enough: we have the best political leader in Canada and I am so glad that I am running as a Green candidate. Have a look at this editorial - http://news.therecord.com/Opinions/article/306417. If Elizabeth is coming to an event in your town try and set up a meeting with the local press - it was really easy. They wanted to meet her and when they do hear her argue and articulate the Green Vision, they see that the Green Party is a serious political entity that can make a difference.

Just another 20 hour E May day

Elizabeth came to our riding last year for a similar whirlwind tour. In addition to her grasp of the issues and ability to weave them into an ad hoc speech on whichever topic we wanted the thing that most impressed me was her hard work.

She had started that day by getting on a 5:00a train to Toronto to attend two morning events. We picked her up at noon, kept her schedule packed until 11:00p that night and dropped her back off in Toronto so that she could get up early to fly out west in the morning. The few spare moments that were left were spent on the telephone calls and email.
