Passover begins this evening at sunset, and on behalf of the Green Party of Canada I would like to extend holiday greetings to all those across Canada and around the world who will be celebrating.
Passover commemorates the liberation of the Jewish people from slavery and oppression in ancient Egypt. It is a time for family and friends to gather together for traditional Seder dinners and to reflect on this important holiday’s themes of peace and freedom.
At Passover, we join the Jewish Community in celebrating the blessings of a free society, while remembering those who are still not free from discrimination and persecution.
