Green poet slams again

Winona Linn, the Green Party slam poet, has released another performance piece on Youtube. A Delicate Condition makes a clear statement that, just as the government has no place in the bedrooms of the nation, it has no place telling women what they can and can’t do with their bodies.

Winona vividly describes the experience of being verbally harassed, called a prostitute by a group of judgmental individuals who believed she was going into a local abortion clinic, which she passed on a shortcut to school. She warns that if women are to continue to have the right to choose in Canada, we must change our government in this election.

Winona’s last election piece, How to get rid of your bad government, has been viewed over 5,000 times on YouTube.

Linn, a member of the Hali Slam Team, is part of the Green Party campaign to reach out and engage young Canadians in this election, and give them a voice to express what they want from their government and leaders.
