Processing of Membership Cards – Fundraising Team

Objective: 

To process new memberships received during a General Federal Election Campaign by preparing and sending membership cards and appreciation to supporters / donors in a timely fashion.

Duties / Responsibilities: 

Under the direction and supervision of the Manager, Fundraising & Membership: 

  • Establish and ensure the integrity of the membership information in GP Data Base by making necessary corrections, amendments and identifying additional information needs.
  • Identify the various levels of support received with new memberships which in turn will determine which level of appreciation is to be extended.
  • Create spreadsheets for future mail-merging
  • Mail outs of actual membership cards
  • Commitment to the Six Guiding Principles of the Green Party of Canada. 
  • Adherence to the Volunteer Confidentiality Agreement. 
  • Must not be a member of another federal political party.
  • Report volunteer work hours on a regular basis.
Qualifications / Skills: 

General knowledge of database entry.  Willingness to learn the required data entry procedures, protocol and search methods.  Attention to detail.  Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Time & Location: 

Ongoing requirement during General Federal Election Campaign to ensure members receive membership cards and appreciation in a timely fashion.  Flexible hours.  Work to be performed at the GPC National Office at agreed upon days / times; weekdays, Monday – Fridays, between 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Orientation / Training: 

General orientation to the GPC by the Coordinator of Volunteer Resources.  Training specific to this role and supervision provided by the Manager, Fundraising & Membership.
