Desnethé—Missinippi—Churchill River

Warren Koch is a Registered Nurse and trained Psychiatric Nurse. His interest in healthy public policy stems from who he is as a person, and how he was raised on a family farm in Saskatchewan. Warren wants to support his neighbours, build up strong communities with clean water and beautiful parks, and ensure our children are able to eat the fish they catch for generations to come.

The values of the Green Party line up nicely with the values Warren follows as Registered Nurse: being open, honest, transparent, and accountable. Advocating for individuals and our community as a whole is a responsibility Warren does not take lightly.

Throughout his career, Warren has been actively involved in leadership roles. As a post-secondary student he served as Vice-President of Finances and Operations for his students’ association. He also had the honour of serving on the Board of Directors for SIAST, now Saskatchewan Polytechnic, for one term.

In his professional life, Warren has been elected to the Saskatchewan Union of Nurses Provincial Negotiations Committee for their collective bargaining agreement. He has also been elected to their professional regulatory association, the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association, as a member of the governing council. He has approached these roles with the intent to serve members of the nursing community, the people of Saskatchewan, and anybody else who may encounter the healthcare system.

Warren is a Level 3 football and hockey official, where he works to keep intense competitive atmospheres safe for all those involved. Warren and his spouse recently welcomed their first child into this world, in March 2015. He looks forward to building a better brighter future for his young family.

The Green Party of Canada is excited to have Warren Koch as our candidate in the riding of Desnethé—Missinippi—Churchill River.
