Barrie—Innisfil

Bonnie North, a wife to her husband, Rob, and mother to her adult son, Gary, is gravely concerned about the ineffective and corrosive policies currently practiced by the political status quo. Bonnie is running for the Green Party in the beautiful riding of Barrie-Innisfil because she believes it is the best way to channel her energies into helping shape a better Canada for her family, her community, and for her environment.

A Registered Nutritional Consulting Practitioner, Bonnie is passionate about helping people achieve sustainable lifestyles that are safe and healthy for both themselves and our planet. She firmly believes in greater health through the healing nature of food as medicine, coupled with reducing harmful environmental pollution and chemical exposure.

Bonnie is an advocate for civil rights and social justice, poverty alleviation, health promotion, disaster and humanitarian relief, and for environmental conservation and animal welfare. Bonnie currently serves as a board member and the Rain Garden Initiative coordinator for the environmental charity, Living Green Barrie, and as a volunteer organizer for the Barrie March Against Monsanto.

A lifelong learner, Bonnie has recently achieved certificates from the University Guelph in “Sustainable Urban Agriculture” and “Sustainable Urban Horticulture”, in “Civic Ecology”, from Cornell edX, and in “The Challenges of Global Poverty”, from MIT edX.

Bonnie and the Green Party have the vision and the plans to set things right in Canada, and will be your voice in Ottawa to effectively address your concerns about your jobs, your families, your communities and the environment.

The Green Party of Canada is excited to have Bonnie North as our candidate in the riding of Barrie-Innisfil.
