Danny Polifroni, age 32, was born and raised in Montreal. Coming from an immigrant family, he speaks English, Italian and French fluently. He graduated with distinction from the University of Concordia in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, and has worked in the renewable energy and aerospace industries for several years.

In 2013, Danny completed a Graduate Diploma in Community Economic Development at Concordia University. Danny currently works for éco-quartier Sud-Ouest, a municipal environmental education and action program.

Mr. Polifroni has been a member of the Green Party of Canada since 2008 and served as a candidate in Quebec for the Papineau riding in the 2011 general elections and for the Bourassa riding in a 2013 by-election. He is a very active member of the party, organizing events, working with Green Party electoral district associations and currently sits on the Green Party federal council.

In addition to his work with the Green Party, Danny is very involved at the local level as a founding member of the first official Transition Initiative in Quebec, an organization that strives to reduce dependence on fossil fuels.

The Green Party of Canada is very excited to have Danny Polifroni as our candidate in the riding of Papineau.
