Mario Leclerc is a resident of Greenfield Park, aged 51, he speaks French and English. A graduate of Laval University, he holds a Bachelor of Education. Along with the love of his life and wife of thirty years Guylaine, Mario is the proud father of two daughters, Miriam and Vicky.

A lifelong public servant, Mario has worked with Service Canada as an Employment Insurance Agent, and with Revenue Canada as a payment agent, collecting agent, verification agent and agent services customer.

His career path led him to campaign for the union, and to become President of Local Section 621 of the Canada Employment and Immigration Union. Mario has worked as a columnist for the Express and Cornwall Seaway News, and as President of the TFO Advisory Committee. He was also school commissioner twice with the Conseil scolaire Viamonde.

Mario ran for the Marie-Victorin School Board in 2014 as an independent, where he became known in the district for speaking out on a wide range of issues. He also ran as a candidate in the 2011 federal election in Stormont—Dundas—South Glengarry.
