(OTTAWA) – Elizabeth May, Leader of the Green Party of Canada (Saanich-Gulf Islands) demonstrated her in-depth foreign policy knowledge tonight through her video responses posted on Twitter.
“The Munk Debate is a private corporate debate that the Green Party was not invited to attend,” said May. “Munk officials denied Canadians the opportunity to hear all federal party leaders on foreign affairs.”
“This is wrong and a huge blow to the democratic process,” concluded May.
Paul Manly, International Trade critic and candidate (Nanaimo—Ladysmith) continued:
“Ms. May again successfully used new and innovative technologies tonight to add the Green Party’s voice to the debate. She provided a perspective that no other federal leader can: a woman’s point of view on international relations.”
“The Green Party will strengthen our international influence by investing in our diplomatic skills and talent,” continued Manly. “We will work collaboratively with other parties to strengthen Canada’s international reputation and restore our respected role as peacekeepers around the world.”
