Green Party Releases Television Ads

(OTTAWA) - The Green Party of Canada launches its first in a series of ads for the campaign today. The ads feature North Vancouver candidate and former CBC TV meteorologist, Claire Martin.

“We wanted the tone to be informative and positive as opposed to what you’re seeing from the other parties. Pundits will tell you that attack ads work, but quite frankly, I am sick of them and so are voters I talk to. The Harper decade was so negative and divisive, it’s time to make Canada work together,” said North Vancouver Green candidate, Claire Martin.

“Creating these high-quality ads and buying air time is costly. We're now able to reach a national audience with these ads, thanks to the unprecedented level of support we've received during this campaign. In August alone, we raised over one million dollars. The Green Party has always been a grassroots party, and it will remain so when we send more Green MPs to Ottawa,” said Green Party Leader, Elizabeth May (Saanich – Gulf Islands).

Green Party ads will broadcast on national television networks and are now available on the Green Party’s YouTube channel. Ads in French will be released later in the campaign.
