(OTTAWA) - Elizabeth May, Leader of the Green Party of Canada, will accept her fourth Honorary Doctorate today in Halifax – Ms. May will receive her latest degree from the Atlantic School of Theology.
“I am deeply honoured to receive this recognition from the Atlantic School of Theology. As a former student of Theology, this means a lot to me,” said Ms. May.
The Atlantic School of Theology will award a Doctor of Divinity, honoris causa, to Ms. May for her dedication to defending the environment and for highlighting the importance of theological education. Elizabeth May is the only federal party leader to hold multiple Honorary Doctorates.
