Elizabeth May, Leader of the Green Party of Canada and candidate (Saanich-Gulf Islands), joins the 8th Annual Salt Spring Island Pride Parade in Ganges, BC, today.
The parade assembles at 12:15 at Mahon Hall and begins at 1:15 pm. It’s followed by a party in the Heiwa Peace Park, featuring danceable grooves with Ange Hehr. A special Gulf Islands Water Taxi service will bring people from the outer Gulf Islands to Ganges on parade morning.
Organizers Gays and Lesbians of Salt Spring Island (GLOSSI) have a policy of no motorized floats in the parade. This year there will be a trophy for the best people-powered float.
