Convention 2012
The Saanich-Gulf Islands riding association is proud to host the 2012 Green Party Convention in Sidney, BC, on August 17-19th, 2012. This exciting convention will be held at the beautiful Mary Winspear Centre.
The Town of Sidney is located on Vancouver Island, approximately 20kms from Victoria. Sidney is just minutes from the Victoria International Airport as well as the Swartz Bay BC Ferry Terminal. Wide-ranged local bus service is available to nearby areas and downtown Victoria.
Some key highlights of the Convention weekend include:
- Training sessions including: organizing in your riding, fundraising, and building membership
- Policy workshops and a Shadow Cabinet meeting with members
- Plenary discussions on important issues facing our Party, and Canada
- Meet members of the Party's Federal Council and staff
