Drupal Programmer

Volunteer Objective:
To provide support to Technical Services by building functionality to the GPC Website using Drupal
Duties / Responsibilities:
To assist the Technical Services Team by publishing, managing and organizing a wide variety of content on the GPC Website using Drupal (www.drupal.org)
• Report volunteer work hours on a regular basis
• Commitment to the Six Guiding Principles of the Green Party of Canada
• Adherence to the Volunteer Confidentiality Agreement
• Must not be a member of another federal political party
Qualifications / Skills:
• Background and experience with Drupal is essential
• Background / knowledge of PHP is an asset
• Background / knowledge of MYSQL is an asset
• Good judgment; good communication skills; team player; ability to work independently
Time & Location:
Flexible, duties to be preferably performed onsite at the GPC National office approximately 3-5 hours per week, dependent on requirements. Work done remotely (as a virtual volunteer) will also be considered. Work onsite to be performed during regular office hours, Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Minimum three month commitment requested.
Orientation / Training:
General orientation to the GPC by Coordinator of Volunteer Resources; Supervision and orientation to specific website needs by designated Technical Services staff member.
