Positive EROEI still unsustainable.

A presentation to the public hearing into the Enbridge Northern Gateway proposal states that, even with a positive EROEI, the proposal is "unsustainable." The energy return is simply not worth the investment.

I discuss in my recent entry the issue regarding the condensate. It is basically the most valuable fraction of natural gas there is being blended with the dirtiest.

I would also pint out that as far as I know the proponents of the pipeline have not had to explain the river crossings as part of their proposal. They are allowed to determine this later.
